If one Sunday any one of the clergy stood up before you and said these words about himself you would rightly get up and walk away. But these words aren’t coming from just anyone, they are coming from the Incarnate Son of God, Jesus Christ.

A friend once shared with me a moment that revealed something deeply true about our world today. She was walking downtown when she noticed a teenager sitting alone on a curb, head buried in his hands. People hurried past him—busy, distracted, unsure, perhaps afraid to get involved. She felt the same hesitation: Should I stop? Should I keep going? What if I say the wrong thing?
