A Thanksgiving Blessing
by Fr. Long Phi Nguyen, SVD | 11/25/2025 | Updates from the PastorThanksgiving is truly a special day in our nation. We often delight in familiar traditions—colorful autumn leaves, gathering with family and friends, the excitement of parades and football, and the joy of sharing a delicious meal together. These warm memories remind us of the goodness and love that fill our lives.
Yet, Thanksgiving is much more than festive gatherings and long-awaited dishes. It is a day set aside to pause, reflect, and give thanks—for the countless gifts that surround us and the people who enrich our lives. Above all, this day reminds us that every good thing we have flows first from the generous heart of God.
As a parish family, we are especially grateful for the abundant grace God continues to pour upon our community. We give thanks for our dedicated staff, our committed volunteers, and every parishioner whose prayers, support, and acts of service strengthen the life we share in Christ. Your faith, kindness, and generosity help make our parish not just a place of worship, but a true spiritual home—a family rooted in love and united in the Eucharist.
This Thanksgiving, may we recognize and appreciate the everyday blessings we might easily overlook: the joy of worshiping together, the comfort of belonging, the beauty of shared faith and friendship. Gratitude is not only a feeling—it is a way of life. May our thanksgiving inspire us to share our blessings generously with one another and with all who are in need.
On behalf of the parish administration, I extend to each one of you a heartfelt “thank you” for your prayers, your steadfast support, and all that you do—seen and unseen—to make Holy Spirit Parish a welcoming and vibrant community of faith.
May the God of all blessings, the source of all life and giver of every good gift, who has begun this good work in us, bring it to fulfillment as we journey together in thanksgiving, joy, and hope.
Wishing you and your loved ones a very Happy Thanksgiving!
