The Divine Office
by Fr. Long Phi Nguyen, SVD | 07/17/2025 | Updates from the PastorThe Divine Office, also known as the Liturgy of the Hours, is the official daily prayer of the Church. It consists of psalms, Scripture readings, and intercessions, prayed at set times throughout the day. Though often traditionally associated with clergy and religious, the Church strongly encourages all the faithful—including you—to participate in this ancient and powerful form of prayer
When we pray the Divine Office, we unite our voices with the entire Church—Pope, bishops, priests, religious, and laity throughout the world in giving praise and thanks to God.
Our parish community gathers to pray Morning Prayer (Lauds) each weekday at 7:45am, just before daily Mass. This is a beautiful and meaningful way to start the day together as a community of faith.
Please bring your Liturgy of the Hours book, or visit divineoffice.org website, or use the free Divine Office app. Let us grow together in holiness and deepen our unity through this treasured prayer of the Church.
